Saudi-based Ashcroft Al Rushaid Instrument Company (Aarico) unveiled its world-class process instrumentation solutions at the Gulf Industry Fair which opened today in Bahrain. A joint venture between Al Rushaid Petroleum Investment Company and Ashcroft Nagano Keiki of the US located in Jubail Industrial City, Aarico said it is the only manufacturer of pressure and temperature instruments in the Middle East. It is the only company to represent both Ashcroft and Nagano Keiki products in the region. These products are widely used in various applications like oil refineries, petrochemical industries, water treatment facilities, hydraulic applications, power generation, fertiliser plants, pumps and in pipeline projects. Aarico products include pressure and temperature gauges, pressure switches, thermo wells, temperature switches, diaphragm seals, accessories, digital pressure gauges, test gauges, stainless steel gauges, commercial gauges, differential pressure gauges and test equipment. Since 1983, Ashcroft's pressure and temperature instruments were being manufactured in Saudi Arabia and supplied through Dresser Al Rushaid Valve and Instruments Company (Darvico). In 2006, Ashcroft became part of Nagano Keiki of Japan, a renowned manufacturer of pressure, temperature gauges, sensors, transmitters. Ashcroft products are manufactured as per the US standards while Nagano manufactures to Japanese standards. The integration of both US and Japanese technology helped Aarico to establish a niche in the Middle East market. Aarico’s fully air-conditioned and dust-proof factory has trained and certified personnel to perform assembly, testing, calibration conforming to national and international standards. The plant is equipped with modern manufacturing, assembly and test facilities and holds sufficient inventory parts for producing 3,000 pressure gauges and 500 temperature gauges and pressure switches per month. Apart from manufacturing, Aarico provides calibration services of all type of pressure and temperature instruments of any brands as per ANSI standards. The quality system of Aarico has been audited and approved by Lloyds register quality assurance, and have been certified to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 29001:2007 standards. The products of Ashcroft are also certified by SASO and UL. The Saudi-based firm has successfully executed the mega projects including Khursaniyah and Hawiyah gas plants, Juaymaih Khurais and Manifa of Aramco through leading EPC contractors such as Bechtel, Technip, Snamprogetti, Technicas, Fluor, Foster Wheeler, and SNC Lavalin. The local client list of Aarico includes Saudi Basic Industries Company (Sabic), Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), Sipchem, Chevron, Samref, Luberef and Petro Rabigh.
